Join our community group sessions to support each other and have fun together. Events are held in person at the cafe and in our virtual cafe on Zoom. Wherever you join us, we hope you find a warm, welcoming and inclusive space. All of our events are free and open to whoever would like to join. Please spread the word!

Weekly Programme

Peer Support Group

Mondays  11am – 12pm

This hour is dedicated to giving and receiving support. Join our friendly group to share your experiences and hear about others in a non-judgmental space. We start and end with short guided meditations followed by a sharing circle. We end by reflecting on the themes covered and offer mutual support.

Kind CoWorking

Tuesdays 11am – 1pm

Would you benefit from working in a shared online space? Drop by our meeting with any projects you are working on – an essay, a job application, your freelance work, your memoirs, your drawing or even your ironing. The session begins and ends with an optional check in/out and mindfulness exercises. The rest of the session is divided into 25min work segments (inspired by the pomodoro technique). This group was founded by Sarit Gafan.

Bite-sized wellbeing

Tuesdays  1.15 – 1.45pm

Our Bite-sized wellbeing sessions cover a variety of topics such as stress management, writing for wellbeing, qi gong and laughter yoga.

Creativity4All

Wednesdays 2 – 3pm

Join us to explore your creativity! This session begins with a collaborative writing warm-up, followed by time for individual creative exploration. Bring some pens, paper and any art supplies you have. Everyone is welcome, whatever your experience, however you are feeling. You can join in as much or as little as you like, the emphasis is on connection, peer support and process.

Community Walking Group

Thursdays 1.30 – 2.30pm

Join us for a leisurely walk from Head Room Café to Golders Hill Park. This is an opportunity to move your body, meet new people or just have a bit of ‘me time’. Like all our groups at Head Room Café this group is open to everyone and you can participate as much or as little as feels right for you.

We will leave the café at 1.30pm sharp, Tracy will be sitting at a table outside the café from 1pm so please introduce yourself. After the walk we will be offering winter warming soup in the Cafe with a special discount for group walkers.

In the case of heavy rain or wind the walk will not take place.

Community Conversations

Thursdays 6.30 – 7.30pm

Join our friendly discussion group which is inspired by the French café-débat. At the beginning of the session each participant is invited to suggest a topic and then the group votes, followed by an open conversation about the chosen topic. We welcome diverse views and experiences and treat each other with respect and kindness.

First Friday of every month.

Join us for an interactive session to discuss and reflect on our café’s activities and values. We will share news and updates, reflect on the previous month and explore any ideas you may have for our future.
